…Why do we train so hard? Doing millions repetitions of one movement, one technic… making it perfect, working on conditioning and hardening, stamina and will… Well- there is many answers to that and it really depends which angle do you pick to look at it;) Many mentors said wise words about it.
I like to think that we doing it because we love. We care. We love our closest ones, our partner, children, parents…we getting stronger and quicker and wiser to react if something happens and we are forced to do something, to provide a protection…not always a physical one- sometimes is a take ones side in a argument, stand for something we mean is right. There is many battles that awaits us and not all of them result a black eyes and blood on the floor… We getting stronger and BETTER because we know that if we are stronger – we will be able to help when the time comes.
But again- i’ve been through many stages of ” why do we train so hard?”…did it to look good, because all my bigger friends did it, because it was cool to be one in the group (feeling of acceptance in the group), competition, money… but in the end…you do it because it’s your life and life of the loved ones. Your love.
